Esther Boyd is a retired architect but is very active in the civil life of Birmingham and is emblematic of the countless number of people who work tirelessly in the city to improve it for their fellow citizens.
She writes a blog on green issues for the Birmingham Mail as well as being the chair of Moseley Forum and organising SusMo (Sustainable Moseley) which aims at making Moseley (in South Birmingham) a more sustainable community both through promoting recycling and through community initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions.
