This is what Heather went onto do in London. This looks very much like an exhibition based around flickr content. We could do that for a day – I am sure we can blag a free space and loan of equipment. We can make it a bit of a social as well.

Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life, 1990–2005 at the National Portrait Gallery in London includes over 150 photographs by the celebrated photographer, encompassing well-known work made on editorial assignment as well as personal photographs of her family and close friends.
I almost went to see this yesterday but when I saw the admission price £11 – I turned round disappointed and walked up to the Photographers Gallery – which is free. They are hosting their last shows before moving to a temporary venue – before their big new gallery in Soho opens.
If and when we create our Birmingham Photospace we should keep it free entry if at all possible
At our second meeting on Tuesaday 14th October we agreed a number of actions and made decisions;
We agreed a vision – with a few minor changes being proposed around education
We agreed a name Birmingham Photospace
We agreed action on the web front
We agreed to aim to hold a more public event in November to discuss creating a photospace
We agreed to talk to a few key people in the City and elsewhere for their input
We started thinking about our first exhibition
Further details will appear on this blog shortly

BUNKER SERIES: Uta Kogelsberger3rd October – 21st November 2008.
Photofusion is hosting a new exhibition of work by London-based photographer Uta Kogelsberger. This series of large-scale colour photographs re-examines the role of the military bunkers built on the beaches of Normandy and England as defensive structures during World War II. This for me is very evocative as I remember as a child on holiday exploring one of these underground structures in Dorset and being really scared!! Has anyone seen it.
